Seeking support is a sign of strength

Private counselling and psychotherapy service for men

Getting started

You are more than your past experiences or the challenges you’re facing right now. Here, you’ll find a space to start making sense of what’s happened, what’s happening now, and where you want to go next.

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel uncertain, but seeking support is a strength—not a weakness. It’s a step towards understanding yourself better, gaining clarity, and moving forward in a way that feels right for you.

You might be struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, relationship issues, low self-esteem, loneliness, feeling trapped, stressed, lost, or experiencing a lack of meaning or purpose in life. Or maybe things just don’t feel quite right, and you’re unsure why?

You're in the right place. My approached is underpinned by Person-Centred Therapy, which is a research-backed way to foster significant personal growth, positive change, and ultimately helping you to move forward in life.

Person-Centred Therapy has been proven to be effective across all issues, yet it is completely personalised to your individual situation. It does however, hinge on the quality of the therapeutic relationship, which is why I always offer a free session to make sure it's right for you. Before that, I'll give you a quick overview of who I am, to see if you think I'd be someone you would like to work with.

Experience
I've been there - before training as a counsellor I struggled with depression, lack of meaning, and anxiety. I've felt trapped, stuck, and stressed - for a longtime I lived without hope, and as a man, I had never considered getting professional support. I didn't really have anyone to talk to about what was happening for me and life seemed only to get harder. Eventually, I found the strength to seek support and my life significantly improved. My only regret is, I wish I had done it sooner.

My true passion is helping men navigate the challenges of life—whether you’re an entrepreneur, athlete, or simply someone trying to find your way. The unconventional path I took here has provided me with a range of transferable experiences, skills, and qualifications that I bring into the counselling room to support you.

With experience founding Men’s Counselling Service, co-founding Youth Sport Nutrition, and delivering a successful pitch on BBC’s Dragons’ Den, I understand the pressures (and consequences) of balancing a busy career, relationships, and personal expectations. This firsthand experience allows me to deeply connect with those in high-pressure roles or leading busy lives, providing support tailored to their unique challenges.

My background in elite sport, coaching fitness at a Premier League Football Academy, earning a BSc in Sports Science, and pursuing my own athletic goals,  gives me valuable insight into the physical and mental demands faced by athletes and coaches, both on and off the field.

Beyond this, my experience working in rural communities as a youth worker, and counselling at MIND, has given me the privilege of working with men from all walks of life. No matter your background or circumstances, I offer a space where you can feel understood and supported.

How I can support you

I could list specific problems, challenges, issues here, but the list would be never ending and in my experience, very rarely does one specific 'problem' sit in isolation. In essence, I support men through difficult times, I offer you space designed to help you build self-awareness, navigate challenges, create constructive change, find meaningful action, and move forward. No matter what you’re facing.

As a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, our work is confidential, guided by a strong ethical framework. I strive to be genuine, non-judgmental, empathic, and fully present with you; creating the therapeutic conditions for personal growth and constructive change. I believe that you are the expert in your own life, and I am here to be with you in the process of understanding it better, accepting present circumstances, and exploring who you want to become.
